Hi, Everyone!
It's always a let-down for us when the Festival closes each year. But we have much to rejoice about because - according to our registrants, guest artists and audiences - it was our best one yet!
And the good news is that our photographer, Todd Paris, took many photos throughout the two weeks so everyone can have photos of the memories ! You can purchase prints of these photos for personal use by going to www.parispub.smugmug.com and clicking on 2007 Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival. What a fun way to share the Festival with family and friends! Proceeds go to support the Festival.
Here are our dates for 2008: Sunday, July 13 through Sunday, July 27. If you're wondering why it's earlier, it's because our popular Tanana Valley State Fair opens Friday, August 1 in 2008. We can't have the Festival close on the week-end that our local Fair opens.
We are keeping our 2007 catalog and registration form on line FOR REFERENCE ONLY!If you didn't register this past year, you will find the catalog and registration form helpful in seeing all we have to offer. The format for 2008 will be similar but we'll have some new classes to be announced in January or so.
Many people completed the Evaluation Form we provided and many others wrote evaluations to me by email. (It's not too late to email your thoughts to me.) I'm enjoying reviewing them, and I'm getting some creative ideas which we're already working on in our planning for next year's Festival! (I reply to all the evaluations when names and addresses are included.)
Our Director of PR, Adela Jackson has coined a phrase for next summer's Festival: "Participate in 2008!"We hope many people will take her advice!
Remember to keep checking our web site throughout the winter for update news! I'll be writing a newsletter about once a month through December, then more frequently thereafter as plans firm up for 2008.
In the meantime, if you have questions, please contact us by phone or email.
With all good wishes,
Jo Ryman Scott
