SINGING WORKSHOPS correction (5:30-7:30pm) and MASTER CLASSES (8:00pm-10:00pm) with Byron McGilvray: Monday through Friday, March 17-21. Informal performance of students in Master Class the last evening. Click here for the Vocal Winter Edition Registration Form. There are no auditions for any of these classes. All who love to sing and are interested in personal and musical growth will enjoy working with our talented guest artists. It's amazing, too, how our guest artists develop an inspirational camaraderie amongst all who attend. Mark those dates down! Each of you who completed an Evaluation Form after this year's Festival will soon be receiving a reply from me on the Form you completed or a personal card or letter you sent! (That's the old 'teacher' in me to return test papers with comments!) I'm enjoying reading all your comments. In addition to the kudos, we've received some very good suggestions which we'll be implementing. If you forgot to complete an evaluation, it's not too late -- just send an email to me with your ideas or comments. We listen! That's why our Festival gets better each year. I'll have another newsletter here about the first week or so of November. At that time we'll be announcing our guest artists for 2008. In the meantime, please call or send an email if you have questions. Happy Fall! PS Memories: I started teaching 60 years ago this fall in a one-room country school house in South Dakota! I taught there for three years. I carried the water, built the fire to heat the school, did the janitorial work and had fun at recesses and noon hour playing ball or other games with my eight or nine students! It was a wonderful experience! From there I went on to complete my college studies, graduating from San Jose State. Then I came to Fairbanks -- 54 years ago this fall -- where I met my husband, Dick! We're still having a great life together and we're counting our blessings. Producing this Festival had been a dream of mine since about 1956. I'm a passionate educator and it's exciting to see our registrants developing their talents! Jo Ryman Scott, Founder and Executive Director
