As promised, here's an update on guest artists and classes for next summer! Remember that we have kept our 2007 catalog on our web site forreference only. In other words, don't try registering from the 2007 registration form! We expect to have our 2008 catalog on-line about the last week of March.
STRINGS: Our same guests will be returning. (Click here. and scroll down) HARP: Our same guests will be returning. (Click here. and scroll down) WOODWINDS: Oboist Marc Fink can't return next summer but we're happy to welcome back David McGuire who had been a guest several years ago. The other guests will be returning. (Click here. and scroll down) BRASS:Jim Bicigo, trombone and Karen Gustafson, trumpet can't be here next summer but we're happy to welcome Burnett Dillon, trumpet and Bill Booth, trombone. The other brass guests will be returning. (Click here. and scroll down) INSTRUMENTAL JAZZ: All those guests will be returning in 2008. WORLD MUSIC:Scott Deal has moved to Indiana and we're happy to welcome Morris Palter who is taking Scott's position at UAF. All the other World Music guests will be returning. Also new guest Jennifer Johnston who will be working with Cindy Oxberry in Stage Direction. The other guests listed will be returning. STORYTELLING: We will not be offering Storytelling next summer. FILMMAKING: New class! Lenny Kamerling will be teaching this two-week, daytime class. Be watching for details. (Click here. and scroll down) More information soon about the third coach soon. DANCE: Carrie Hanson, Brooke Paulsen and Jane Vorburger will not be able to return. VISUAL ARTS: Judi Betts, Rachel Kincy Clark, Helen Klebesadel and Tom Nixon will not be returning. (Tom is our poster artist for 2008.) There will be new visual arts classes, too: Leslie Korvola, Scrapbooking (evening classes) Gael Murakami, Beginning Watercolor (morning classes) Ray Pierotti, "Drawing from the Artist Within" (daytime classes) Vladimir Zhikhartzev, Intermediate Watercolor (daytime classes) Carol Wilber, Beginning Watercolor (evening classes) Karen Austen, Portraits in Oils (evening classes).
Perhaps another visual arts class will be announced later.
