Hi, Everyone!
To all local people reading this, mark down Saturday, February 2, Northern Latitudes Room in the Westmark at 7:30pm for Jaunelle Celaire's Festival students in a CABARET performance! Tickets will be at the door for $10. Special thanks to Shelley McCool at the Westmark for providing that beautiful room for our performance.
Then get ready for GOSPEL CHOIR in February (click here for registration form). We're again hoping for 90 to 100 singers. Our guest artists Bobby Lewis and Eustace Johnson out of NYC will begin rehearsals on Monday evening, February 18th, 6:30pm and the Celebration of Black History in Song and Story will be Sunday afternoon, February 24, at Sacred Heart Cathedral, 4pm. You are invited and encouraged to join this inspirational Gospel Choir.
HERE'S SOME NEWS ABOUT SUMMER REGISTRATION FEES: Many people are concerned about the economy, their high heating bills and the high price of gas for their cars. We're going to try to help people attend the Festival by reducing the maximum registration fee to only $485 IF the registration form is postmarked by June 15th. After that date, students will pay the price listed for each class in the catalog. There is a big savings if you plan ahead and register by June 15th. More information about this when the catalog comes out in mid-March or so.
SPEAKING OF THE CATALOG: We're working on that now! We have several new classes and we'll have more information on that in our next update here.
SPECIAL THANKS TO ADELA JACKSON, our Director of Marketing. She has developed a classy format for our Festival ENOTES. If you aren't on the list to receive one, please send her a note requesting that you be put on this email mailing! adelajackson@alaska.net
More news in another week or two!
With all good wishes,
