Melissa Gregory and Denis Petukhov
Ice Skating
They are top-ranked figure skating athletes in the world. Together they have an impressive resume of US National medals, International Event Championships, and top World rankings. They represented the United States in the 2006 Winter Olympics in Torino, Italy, and they have toured as Champions on Ice performers.
Their media exposure also includes appearances on the Today show, Good Morning America, CBS Early Show, ABC World News, ESPN Cold Pizza, Lifetime Television Special, and local news specials in Chicago, Boston and Hartford. They have also been featured on the front page of The New York Times, The Chicago Tribune, and the Wall Street Journal. In addition they have been published in USA Today, Sports Illustrated, Time Magazine and were recognized by the Professional Skating Association as 2007 Best Performers.
Garnet Fiordalisi
Ice Skating
Coaching since 1987, Garnet Fiordalisi is a USFSA Gold Medalist and is PSA rated. As an amateur she trained under Evy Scotvold, Carlo Fassi and Frank Carroll. She competed internationally for the West German Olympic and European teams between 1976–1980. She then enjoyed an extensive Ice Show career before settling down to coach in Lake Arrowhead, California. She remained on staff at Ice Castle International Training Center for 16 years where she assisted Frank Carroll in coaching regional, national, and international competitors focusing on jump and spin techniques. Garnet now resides in Lake Tahoe, California, where she is on staff at the South Lake Tahoe Ice Arena.
Liv Ramos
Ice Skating
Liv Ramos began her skating career at the age of four in her birthplace Oslo, Norway where she and a partner became the Champions of Oslo and Scandinavia twice and received several awards for team work. She was chosen for the Olympics but due to the loss of her father, she chose the offer of the Ice Capades. She remains active in coaching skaters in Anchorage and we are happy to have her return to the Festival.
