DescriptionUnderstanding the fret board (repeated chord patterns on the guitar neck, use of those patterns in chord inversions and pentatonic scales); use of the capo; beginning improvisation and chord ornamentation; guitar rhythms and their relationship to drumbeats. Students must already know basic ‘folk’ chords (G, C, D, E minor, A minor, etc.).
