Shakespeare registrants have the opportunity to meet with their guest artists following “Meet the Artists” at 4:00pm on Sunday afternoon, July 13, to get acquainted during the Chancellor’s Reception in the Great Hall OR go to their first class on Monday. Please Note: The maximum registration fee – regardless of how many classes you select – is only $550. See the registration form for discounts available. QUESTIONS? 74) Shakespeare: For High School Teachers and Drama Coaches $100
Instructors: Stitham and Kremer 1:30-3:00pm, M-F, Both Weeks
This class will examine Shakespeare’s most popular plays in terms of literary analysis and directorial techniques. Valuable ideas for people working with all levels of students will be presented by Kremer and Stitham who have years of experience in directing and teaching Shakespeare.  Non-teaching lovers of Shakespeare are welcome.

75) Shakespeare: Everything You’ve Ever Wanted To Know!
Instructor: Kremer  3:30-5:00pm, M-F, Both Weeks $100
If you’ve always wished you understood more about the Bard, this class is for you.  Anyone interested in Shakespeare will enjoy, but the class is designed especially for beginners. Kremer will offer a practical approach to the plays, including exercises that are fun and will clarify the text.

76) Shakespeare: From the Director’s Chair $100
Instructor: Kremer  5:30-7:00pm, M-F, Both Weeks
The class will look closely at King Lear and Twelfth Night, using DVDs to highlight scenes from various productions to consider why certain choices have been made. Registrants need nothing other than enthusiasm to register for this class. They may simply watch and listen if they wish.

Susan Stitham • Fairbanks, AK
Shakespeare
Susan Stitham retired in 2003 after 30 years of teaching high school students in Fairbanks. She was a dedicated teacher, and she received many accolades for her work during that time including a Milken National Educator Award and the BP Teacher of the Year. In addition to Advanced Placement classes, Stitham worked with remedial students studying Shakespeare where she learned first hand the Bard’s amazing ability to connect with everyone.

Guest Artist Dan Kremer • Shoreline, WA
Shakespeare
In his thirty year career, Dan Kremer has performed in more than two hundred productions throughout the US that include over fifty roles in twenty-five of Shakespeare’s plays. Kremer is author of THE CHASE, a stage adaptation of Shakespeare’s narrative poem Venus and Adonis.
