Gianna Drogheo

Gianna Drogheo

Music and healing

Gianna Drogheo has sung diverse styles of music from motets to jazz standards. With a Masters in Vocal Performance, she has directed choirs and taught private voice lessons for over 30 years. For the last 10 years, Gianna has been studying the healing power of music and voice with such masters as Jill Purce, Fabien Maman and Jonathan Goldman.

Mark Johnson has been helping people improve their health as a nationally-accredited instructor since 1991. The Taoist Tai Chi Society offers year-round instruction world-wide, including at their branch in Fairbanks, AK.

Pilates

Ruth is the Director and principal teacher of the Creative Movement Program for the North Star Ballet School in Fairbanks, Alaska. She was introduced to Pilates through the dance program and went on to complete her first mat certification in 2009. She became certified in the Peak Pilates Program integrating mat and apparatus in 2011. Ruth became comprehensively certified with the Pilates Method Alliance in 2015. The PMA is a certifying agency with the only NCCA (National Commision for Certifying Agencies) accredited certification program for Pilates teachers. Ruth currently teaches mat and apparatus classes for the school and general public.

Pam Nelson is a Craniosacral therapist in Fairbanks and a certified teacher of the 4-day intensive workshop "Awakening The Illuminated Heart" for Drunvalo Melchizedek’s School of Remembering®. She also studied South American traditional healing work with Alberto Villoldo and Jose Luiz Herrera. Pam is a retired public school and homeschool teacher and now lives in Fairbanks after spending 23 years in rural Alaska.

Sandi Roberts serves on the faculty for Eden Energy Medicine’s Certification Program and is an Advanced Energy Practitioner. She has certifications as an Emotion Code and Reconnection practitioner, and has a private practice in Knoxville, Maryland. Teaching and sharing energy balancing techniques with people of all ages is her passion. She enjoys creating a joyful and playful environment for people to learn self-care techniques for greater health and happiness.


James Yoshizawa

Percussion

James Yoshizawa is a versatile drummer/percussionist living in Los Angeles, CA with a BM in Percussion Performance from California State University, Long Beach. While a student, he received the PAS Armand Zildjian Percussion Scholarship, the Fine Arts Affiliates Scholarship, and the Komaroff Scholarship. Since graduating, he has been an active performer and educator in Los Angeles and around the country. Some recent, noteworthy engagements include a 3-month run as the percussionist and bodhran soloist in the touring production of the Broadway musical, "Come From Away," a guest performance with the band NYCO accompanied by the Alabama Symphony in Birmingham, AL, and the recording of all the percussion tracks for an upcoming show at Tokyo Disney. He has also been a guest artist at the Fairbanks Summer Arts Festival since 2013. As an educator, he maintains a private lesson studio and has taught at many nationally acclaimed high school percussion programs around Southern California.
