Join us for a two-week deep dive into poetry and prose writing! In this creative writing intensive, we will explore readings from contemporary poets and writers, using our close reading as a jumping off point for our own drafts. While mostly generative, there will also be a chance to workshop your drafts in small groups facilitated by our experienced teachers. Daily writing experiments, visits from guest writers, and field trips in the beautiful Fairbanks community will offer many opportunities to engage the imagination. Writers from all backgrounds and experience levels are welcome and will find new techniques and ways into the writing process. By the end of our time together, you’ll have a portfolio full of new drafts and many new writing friends. Bring pen, paper, a sense of adventure, and a sense of humor!
