Margaret Donat

Artist info

After earning a BFA in Jewelry Design and a BA in Art Education at University of Idaho, Margaret came to Alaska in 1983 for a 2 year adventure. 33 years later, she is still in Alaska with no plans to leave. Margaret taught art in Fairbanks schools for many years and retired to become a founding member of Two Street Gallery, a local artist cooperative. Her watercolors and kiln-formed glass works are always on display there and have been exhibited in several solo and group exhibitions. Margaret loves teaching art and is excited to introduce you to glass as a wonderful medium to express yourself whether you feel like you are an artist or not.
