Jessica Frane is a music educator, freelance bassoonist, and private instructor from Jersey City, NJ. Studying piano from an early age and later taking up flute and finally bassoon, she graduated with her bachelor's degree in Music Education from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University studying with bassoonist and current Juilliard education faculty member Seth Baer. As a performer, Jessica plays in many New Jersey based ensembles such as the Adelphi Chamber Orchestra, Ridgewood Concert Band, Ridgewood Symphony Orchestra, Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra, the Baroque Chamber Orchestra of New Jersey, the Society of Musical Arts, the Livingston Symphony Orchestra and the Garden State Opera. In December 2012, She returned to her alma mater as a featured bassoon soloist in the "Students and Teachers" concert with the Montclair State University Wind Symphony, conducted by Dr. Thomas McCauley. Jessica is currently an instrumental band teacher in the Teaneck Public Schools in Teaneck, NJ teaching lessons and band to grades 4 through 8.
