EXTENDED APPLICATION DEADLINE: February 17

This two-week program offers educational and performance opportunities to young and emerging singers in pursuit of musical and artistic development. Program repertoire is determined by the faculty based on the applicant pool to include: solo, small and large ensemble repertoire, and when possible, a complete work. Each student is cast in a minimum of two opera or musical theatre scenes, and receives their casting assignments prior to the beginning of the program. Students are expected to arrive at the festival with music learned and have the opportunity to refine their music with the dynamic FSAF OMT faculty each day. During the course of the festival, students participate in vocal coachings and private lessons, master classes and staging rehearsals, receive artistic and professional development coaching from faculty, and perform in a fully staged and costumed performance at the end of the two weeks. Additional concerts and performances take place throughout the festival. Take your craft and artistry to the next level while experiencing a summer to remember in beautiful Alaska!

Pricing Options

This year's program has two pricing options:

Opera and Musical Theatre Intensive Program: $1,000

Spend two weeks with our incredible faculty honing your personal skills and working with the other registrants to prepare a fully costumed scenes production.

Daily Schedule:

1-5pm: Coaching and Lessons with Faculty

Opera and Musical Theatre Intensive Program with Lodging and Transportation: $1,800

Perfect for out-of-town students who are looking for an Alaskan Adventure while honing their craft. This option includes apartment-style housing at the University of Alaska Fairbanks and ground transportation.
