Jenny Tisi (Choral/Vocal)

Jenny Tisi is the Director of Children’s and Youth Choirs at All Saints Church Pasadena, where she leads a vibrant and comprehensive choral program serving singers from kindergarten through
high school. She conducts several ensembles, including the Minisingers, Unidad Children’s Choir, Trouvères Youth Choir, Youth Chamber Choir, and Vox Cambiata, nurturing young musicians through a thoughtful approach to vocal development, ensemble artistry, and expressive singing.

With more than 30 years of experience as a choral educator in both public schools and church music programs, Tisi is widely respected for her commitment to mentorship and her ability to build supportive and artistically rigorous musical communities for young singers. She is also the Assistant Conductor of the Donald Brinegar Singers, a Los Angeles–based choral ensemble known for its artistic excellence and commitment to innovative programming.

Central to Tisi’s work is her belief in choral music as a vehicle for peace, social justice, and community engagement. She is particularly dedicated to programming repertoire that encourages young singers to explore themes of compassion, equity, and human dignity, and she regularly creates performance opportunities that connect music with social awareness and service. Through tours, collaborative performances, and thoughtfully curated repertoire, she helps singers
understand how their voices can contribute to dialogue, healing, and positive change.

Tisi earned her Bachelor of Music in Music Education from the State University of New York at Fredonia (1989), a Master of Liberal Studies from Stony Brook University (1994), and a Master of Music in Choral Conducting from California State University, Los Angeles (2022). Her
academic work informs her teaching philosophy, which emphasizes healthy vocal production, musical independence, and the development of confident, expressive young artists.
An active member of the American Choral Directors Association, Tisi has presented interest sessions, conducted honor choirs, and contributed to the professional community through
mentorship and leadership. She is especially passionate about supporting conductors at all stages of their careers and fostering connections between experienced and emerging educators.

Through her work at All Saints and in the broader choral community, Jenny Tisi remains dedicated to the transformative power of choral music to build connection, empathy, and artistic
excellence in young people.
